Mascot [Luffy x Reader] 1/2

"We need a mascot for Thousand Sunny!" Luffy suddenly exclaimed, shocking his crew.

"What for?" Usopp asked, thinking that it was weird for Luffy to say that.

"I don't know, I just feel like it! Shishishi!" Luffy said, laughing, making Nami walk up to him and beat some senses into him.

"We can't find a mascot that looks like the mast of Thousand Sunny! That's nearly impossible!" Chopper said.

"Of course it's impossible! Thousand Sunny is one of a kind!" Nami shrieked.

"I think it's worth the try." Robin said, wearing her usual calm smile.

"And by the way, we are reaching an island." Robin said as she pointed at the island.

By the looks of it, it looks like a city.

"Okay! Me, Zoro and Usopp will go find a mascot!" Luffy said excitedly.

Nami sighed, "Fine, then Sanji and Chopper, you guys can buy the ingredients. Me and Robin will go shopping! Brook, Franky, please take care of the ship this time!"

Everyone went on their separate ways to do what they were assigned to.

Walking around, Luffy suddenly sprinted away from Zoro and Usopp as he saw a forest.

"Zoro! Usopp! Whoever can find a mascot first, losers must buy the winner whatever they want, I'm going first!" Luffy shouted as he dashed off into the forest.

Zoro, not wanting to lose, quickly ran into the forest, leaving Usopp behind.

"I didn't want to be part of this..." Usopp sighed, also heading for the forest.

As the Straw Hats were doing their thing, you wandered around the forest, going to train yourself.

You were not allowed in the city because people treated you like a monster, just because you ate a devil fruit, a Neko Neko no mi. [WOWW... so original～ (so much sarcasm) XD]

You had no one to protect or love you, they were already dead.

Let's not get too off topic now shall we?

You switched to your Neko form, your fur was yellow with a ring around your neck that was coloured orange.

You started sneaking around softly as you tried to hunt for animals to eat for lunch.

As you were walking around, you heard rustling from above.

Looking up, you saw a raven-haired man on a tree chuckling.

"I found you!!!" Was all he screamed, before he tried to land on you, making you scream meow loudly and dodging him, making him land face flat on the grass.

As he stopped kissing the ground, he turned to look at you and tried to grab you, only for you to run.

This caused him to chase after you while you were running away from him in your cart form.

Suddenly, his arms stretched to catch you, only for you to swipe at him, making him pulled back his hands on pain.

'A devil fruit user huh?' You thought as you ran.

As the chase continued, you both passed by a green-haired man.

"Zoro! Stay out of this!"

"Nope, I'm catching it first!" The man named Zoro said as he also was chasing after you.

Usopp also happened to see the commotion and also gave a chase.

Poor you had to run away from them.

Soon, you all exited the forest and entered the city, making you nervous.

Thank god people didn't recognise you in your cat form as the last time you were in the city, you were a half neko, half human.

You suddenly saw a red haired woman and decided to pounce at her, making her catch you in her arms.

"What are you guys doing!?" She screamed, punching the three men's head, a lump slowly forming on the three heads.

"You guys scared the poor kitty!" She said hugging you closer to her. [Sanji's dream to be you for once and experience what you were experiencing XD ]

Ignoring Nami, Luffy whined.

"Nami, was the one who caught her, so that means there will be no prize..."

This made Nami punched the man named Luffy, which you could only think of was.

'Baka...'
[It means stupid of you guys don't know...]

'Oh well, I guess I will join them, since there's literally nothing for me to do on this island anyways.'

You quickly snuggled into Nami's arms, making her chuckled.

The raven-haired woman beside her laughed, saying, "I think it likes you."

"She's called cat burglar for a reason." Zoro said, earning a kick from her in the stomach.

'They are really all stupid...'

"Then it's decided! It will be our mascot!" Luffy shouted.

'Wait... Mascot!!!'

Soon enough all the ship members gathered and left the island with you, not looking back.

As you were relaxing on the deck, Zoro accidentally stepped on your tail, making you flinched and reverted back to your original human form.

"Oh sorry... WAIT! WHO ARE YOU!?" Zoro became alarmed and took our all three of his swords.

"I'm the cat that you guys captured." You said, changing your human form into your cart form.

Hearing commotions happening on the deck, all of the crew looked to see Zoro talking to the cat.

Usopp whispered to Chopper, "Is Zoro okay?"

"I will go and check on him."

Just right after Chopper finished speaking, you turned back into your human form, shocking everyone on the ship.

Laughing, you introduced yourself, "Hi! I'm the cat that you kidnapped earlier, my name is (y/n). Nice to meet you! I know this is sudden but... Can I join your crew?"

The crew was silent at first, only for Luffy to smile widely and said, "Hi (y/n)! Welcome to the crew."

That sentence made you so happy that you broke into tears.

"Oi oi! Why are you crying? Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry! " Luffy panicked, so did the others.

"No, I'm just so happy, this is the first time someone accepted a monster like me."

"You're not a monster, last time I used to think of myself as a monster but Luffy saved me." Chopper exclaimed.

"You? A monster? But you're just a cute reindeer that talks." You said casually, as if it was normal.

"I ate the hito hito no mi." He said.

Soon, everyone started treating you like their crew member and they introduced themselves.

So out of the whole crew, you, Luffy, Chopper, Robin and Brook ate devil fruits. Zoro's the swordsman, Sanji was the cook, Nami's the navigator, Usopp was the sniper and Franky was the shipwright and cyborg.

To you, this was the group of friends that you were willing to sacrifice your life for and the friends that will stay with you through tough times.

Dinner with the crew was interesting... It was served by Sanji, who kept flirting with you, Zoro was scolding him for annoying you, making them fight, Chopper telling you that was a normal thing.

After dinner, you sat on the mast in your cat form. You understood why Luffy picked you already, you look similar to the mast.

"Hey (Y/n), that's my spot."

You turned around to see Luffy pouting.

You only made yourself more comfortable on the mast.

Eyeing the straw hat on the boy's head, you jumped on his shoulder, having his hat with your mouth and jumping back to the mast.

"Hey! Return my hat!" Luffy exclaimed.

All you did was flipped the hat and jumped inside, snuggling the hat.
[Yup, you are kind of small, making you good at sneaking around.]

Seeing you relaxing in his hat, he sat next to you and watched you slowly sleeped in his hat.

Stroking your soft fur, he whispered, not knowing that your were listening.

"One day, I will make you think that you're not a monster. I will always protect you."

No one had ever said that to you before, making you smile with a bit of tears in your eyes.

The whole night was spent with Luffy putting his hat on his lap while you were sleeping soundly in his hat.
